Characteristics of Our Ore
The results of the research performed in several of four blocks within a 150km radius indicate the existence of an Itabirite-type, essentially magnetic ore which, once refined, may feature iron contents between 67% and 68%. In addition to high iron contents, they presented low contents of impurities, those of phosphorus ranging between 0.03 and 0.05%, silicon between 1.5 and 2.0%, alumina between 0.5 and 1.0%, and a low loss (less than 1.5%) to fire
